Unique features - This semi-solid fretless bass has an elaborate internal substructure combining multiple tuned chambers and tone blocks with tuned ports on the top face designed to increase dynamics, sustain, color and overall extended range. This is particularly helpful to bring out the "upright" response and voicing qualities often desired from a fretless. However, by also keeping it solid in the right amounts in the right places, it also carries a rock solid punch when required. The full fretboard range is easily accessible and extends to what would be the equivalent of 27 frets. This model design was originally intended for a 25.5" scale guitar, but Mark thought he'd like to see it as a full-scale bass, so with a little modification a new model version was born.
